What Cards Qualify for a Pawn Loan?

We accept a wide range of sports cards and trading cards. Here's exactly what qualifies — and what doesn't.

CardPawn accepts PSA, BGS/Beckett, SGC, CGC, and other graded sports cards across hockey, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, Pokémon, and Magic: The Gathering. Raw (ungraded) cards are accepted if the individual card has a minimum appraised value of $2,500 CAD. The minimum loan is $500 CAD. Cards valued below this threshold do not qualify for an individual loan but may qualify as part of a collection submission.

✓Vintage baseball (pre-1980) — graded or high-value raw
✓Vintage hockey (pre-1980) — O-Pee-Chee, Topps
✓Modern super-refractors, 1/1s, high-value printing plates
✓Sealed wax boxes (graded cases — CGC, ARS)
✓Autographed cards (graded, authenticated by PSA/JSA/Beckett)

❌ Cards We Cannot Accept

✗Counterfeit, reprinted, or altered cards
✗Trimmed cards (any service)
✗Cards under $500 in value (per card or collection)
✗Ungraded raw cards under $2,500 each
✗Fantasy sports cards / fan-made cards
✗Non-authenticated autographs on raw cards
✗Cards with known authentication disputes
✗Cards with damaged holders that compromise authenticity

→Modern Secret Rare / Alt Art with $500+ market value
→Sealed WOTC-era booster boxes (graded)

Reserved List, Power 9, old borders

Example qualifying cards:

→Alpha/Beta Power 9 cards — CGC or BGS graded preferred
→Reserved List cards valued at $1,000+
→Dual Lands (Underground Sea, Volcanic Island, etc.)
→Graded sealed product (Alpha, Beta, Unlimited booster packs)
